Welcome to Ella's Epiphanies
Have you ever felt like you’re presenting to a practically empty stadium whenever you share your content?
It’s as if you’re putting content out there but it seems to drift off into nothingness and you’re left wondering if anyone will ever show up or pay attention (except for those 3 loyal likers… we see you and we appreciate you).
You’re starting to feel like all of this content you’re posting is pointless because it’s not landing with the impact you want it to, it’s not attracting attention and it’s definitely not bringing in any leads.
If this is your current situation then you’ve clicked on the right blog because I’ve had many clients come to me with this exact issue and the good news is, we can fix it.
Let’s start from the top.
Did you know that 76% of people will buy from a brand they feel connected to over a competitor?
That means one of the biggest things that will give you a competitive edge over others is a good connection with your audience.
Creating a sense of connection is relatively easy…
Things like mentioning your favourite drink in your copy or telling a story about a moment you had with your sister that you’ve linked back to an important lesson that helped your business.
Naturally, this is going to get people thinking ‘Oh, I like iced strawberry matcha too’ or ‘My sister would have said the same thing’.
Obviously, this is an easy place to start and can definitely trigger conversations but it’s a bit superficial. It doesn’t last very long.
To create a true connection with your audience you need to build up connection points based on something deeper.
What is that something deeper? I’m glad you asked…
You know when you meet someone in real life and you just click?
You might have slightly different favourite drinks or like different music but you get eachother on a fundamental level.
My guess is you have the same values. You prirtose the same things in life and that creates a deep connection.
This is the exact way you’re going to connect wth your audience through your copy!
By incorporating values into your copy, you’ll connect with your audience on a deeper and more meaningful level that solidifies you as someone they can trust and your business as something they align with.
First, and this should come as no surprise, you need to establish your values.
And as you’re a purpose-driven business owner, I know that you’ve probably given your values a few thoughts during your time but I mean getting crystal clear on what they are, how they relate to your business and what they mean to you.
As you are now.
If you established your values a couple of years ago and haven’t looked at them since… I’m betting they have evolved (much like you and your business probably have since you first started!).
Once you’ve gotten super clear and reconnected with your values, you need to take these values and use them to create your core copy foundations.
Your core copy foundations are what will ground every piece of copy in your values and help you create a signature tone of voice infused with your values.
Plus, as a bonus, knowing these core copy foundations makes the process of writing your copy feel so much easier.
If you’re ready to stop feeling like you’re shouting into a practically empty stadium when you write your content and want to feel more connected and confident when you write your copy, values are the way forward.
But you don’t have to try and figure out how to put them into your copy yourself!
I’ve teamed up with the wonderful Charlotte from Hermit Crab Copy to create a FREE masterclass that is designed to help you reconnect with your values and teach you exactly how to take those values and turn them into copy that builds deep connections with your audience.
It’s called the 6 C’s of Values-Led Marketing Masterclass and it’s going to help you fall back in love with your marketing!
